Antique 19th/20th century wooden Qalamdan
An antique QALAMDAN (INK AND PEN BOX) from late 19th or early 20th century, Rajasthan, India.
There is a removable compartment to keep the pens and an ink box in it. These qalamdan were used before the mordern pens were invented. Writer would dip the tip of the pen in the ink box and write. We can still remains of the old ink in the ink box compartment.
Overall in good condition but needs cleaning. Wood is intact except small damage to the left bottom interior of the lid.
A perfect piece of Indian history to be collected and to be showcased in your home.
